Bradley Foster Runs All Over Falcons Defense to Kickstart the 2026 Football season

Football season is finally here and what better way to kick it off than two of Utah’s best going head-to-head. Utah saw some unexpected tornado warnings and heavy thunderstorms that delayed this one, but thankfully we were still able to see some ball.

Skyridge and Mountain Ridge played in their season openers in 2025 as well with the Falcons winning by a landslide, 52-17. Mountain Ridge was looking to keep this game more competitive than that, and they did.

The Sentinels took the first lead of the game with an opening drive field goal to go up 3-0. Jagger Fountaine responded with a rushing touchdown for the Falcons on a QB draw play to give the Falcons a 7-3 lead. Jagger would toss 2 more touchdowns to Dax Rehrer and Beckham Bennett to increase their lead to 20-6.

Jaxon Hunt of Mountain Ridge took matters into his own hands as he threw for 3 touchdowns to 3 different receivers (Xander Thayer, Bradley Foster, Marshall West) before the Falcons’ next score.

Jagger connected with Bennett again for the Falcons to give us a 27-26 score early in the 4th quarter.

Jaxon Hunt and Jordan Classenn weren’t on the same page early on missing on some deep balls, but they found success when they needed to the most. A 55-yard touchdown pass gave the Sentinels an 8 point lead where their defense came up with a big time stop to give them the ball back.

This game was won by a variety of Sentinel players, including linebacker Scooby Tulau who was all over the field making plays for their defense, but Bradley Foster was possibly the biggest piece. Foster ran the ball 29 times, tallying 216 yards on the ground with a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown. Bradley also came up clutch to ice the game for Mountain Ridge with some big-time runs to drain down the clock towards the end. Foster is a strong, physical force at running back, but what makes him impressive is just how well he moves and his ability to change direction, leaving Falcon defenders stuck in the turf. A big time performance that wouldn’t have been possible without the boys up front creating big holes to work with. An all-around offensive masterclass from Mountain Ridge in their 41-26 win.

These top teams won’t have a breather in their next games as Skyridge will have to take on the Orem Tigers next week followed by 2 tough out of state opponents. Mountain Ridge has built up a very challenging preseason test as they’ll look to take care of Lehi for the second straight year and get revenge on Davis the following week.
